Description:
This performance piece focused on the belief that hair stores both power and trauma. Through cutting my own hair, I reclaim my own power and release trauma. I both revere ancient elemental magic through incorporating the four elements of fire, water, earth, and air, as well as construct my own rites through referencing prominent symbolism in the tarot key Eight of Swords.
In the fire of sacrifice, everything else burns away.
